Ode to the one-piece swimsuit
This weekend I went shopping (for myself this time) and I saw a beautiful one-piece swimsuit: it’s a vintage piece from the 80s precisely.
And it was love at first sight!
It’s weird to me because I was a bikini fan, but I have to admit that I’m falling in love with the one-piece swimsuit. Here’s why:
IT’S ELEGANT
It may be a banality, but the one-piece swimsuit is actually more elegant. In comparison, the two pieces is like underwear…
IT’S COVERING
Apart from the more sporty women, raise your end if you prefer a covered belly! Rolls,, stretch marks and imperfections? Better inside than outside…
IT’S STRATEGIC
Restraining fabric, diagonal lines, contrasting colors and gathers: these are some of the optical illusions created by the one-piece swimsuit.
IT’S SLIMMING
It develops vertically and so the one-piece swimsuit results slimming for the body. Even better if you choose a V-neckline and a high-cut leg.
IT’S SEXY
Who said you need to e naked to seduce? The one-piece swimsuit leaves to the fantasy and imagination…
LIKE A DRESS
Think about a party on the beach or a pool. You just need a one-piece swimsuit and some accessories to stand out from the crowd.
IT’S FOR ALL AGES
The biggest mistake is to think that the one-piece swimsuit is just for mature women. The opposite! There are nice ones, for women of all ages.
IT’S TIMELESS
Fashion passes, style remains (just to use a common and boring phrase). But it’s true: even on the beach, every year it’s different and new. The real evergreen is the one-piece swimsuit.
IT’S RETRO
If you love the style of yesteryear, you will love and prefer the one-piece swimsuit. Fashion always gets from the past, even when it comes to beachwear, proposing very beautiful swimsuits. READ also Once upon a time there was the swimsuit season.
IT’S VINTAGE
You can also find beautiful vintage swimsuits. The ones from the 80s are my favorite: high-cut leg and very sexy. Mine is YSL and I found it on Sine Modus: I can’t wait to wear it!
