MET Gala 2017: the best and the worst of the Red Carpet

Like every year, at the Met Gala 2017 we’ve seen a lot.

It’s an important party for the Fashion world: it is organized to raise funds for the Costume Institute at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and each edition has a different theme.

The Met Gala 2017 is associated with the Spring show at the Met dedicated to the Japanese designer Rei Kawakubo (Comme des Garçons).

The problem is that some followed the theme and looked great; others followed the theme but in the wrong way; others were dressed as it was Carniva…

Here is the worst and best from the Red Carpet of the Met Gala 2017:

WHO FOLLOWED THE THEME AND LOOKED BEAUTIFUL

Blake Lively In Versace. As usual, the queen of the red carpet.

Kate Bosworth In Tory Burch. Not an easy dress, but she wears it admirably.

Taylor Hill In Carolina Herrera. Simple, elegant, but she followed the theme.

Dakota Johnson In Gucci. Very beautiful!

Lily-Rose Depp In Chanel. Pretty, as always.

Reese Witherspoon In Mugler. She followed the theme perfectly, without overdoing it.

Candice Swanepoel In Topshop. Not an easy dress, but perfect for the theme!

Doutzen Kroes In Brock Collection. Beautiful.

Salma Hayek In Balenciaga. She had better red carpets but she is perfect anyway.

WHO FOLLOWED THE THEME BUT OVERDID

Rihanna In Commes des Garcon

Madonna In Moschino

Katy Perry In Maison Margiela

Chrissy Teigen In Marchesa

Kendall Jenner In La Perla

Cara Delevingne In Chanel. What happened?!

Gigi Hadid In Tommy Hilfiger. Too much…

Bella Hadid In Alexander Wang

Kylie Jenner In Versace

Lily Aldridge In Custom Ralph Lauren

Mary-Kate And Ashley Olsen. Met Gala or Coachella?

WHO WAS ELEGANT BUT DID NOT FOLLOW THE THEME

Diane Kruger In Prada. Beautiful but for the Oscars. Not for the Met Gala for sure.

Gisele Bundchen In Stella McCartney. Same!

Elle Fanning In Miu Miu. Beautiful look, but not not for this event.

Laura Dern In Gabriela Hears. Elegant, but she didn’t follow the theme.

Jessica Chastain In Prada. I love her, but she should have chosen something different.

Gwyneth Paltrow In Calvin Klein. She always look great, but not this time…

Felicity Jones In Erdem. Too fairy for the Met Gala

Anna Wintour In Chanel. Anche se è Anna Wintour, a me questo look proprio non piace.
